Scholarships for Members

The Mid-Atlantic Association for Court Management (MAACM) is dedicated to advancing the fair and effective administration of justice through exceptional court management. As part of our commitment to supporting the professional growth of court professionals, MAACM offers scholarships to help members access high-quality continuing education. These opportunities are designed to promote knowledge-sharing, foster networking among peers, and ensure that professional development remains accessible and affordable for all. Whether you’re attending our annual conference or pursuing advanced training through the ICM Fellows Program, our scholarships are here to support your journey.

Conference Scholarships

MAACM is excited to announce scholarship opportunities for its upcoming annual conference! Scholarships cover both the full conference registration fee and lodging expenses, providing a great way to support members’ professional development.

Eligibility:
All MAACM members in good standing are encouraged to apply.

Selection Process:
Scholarships will be prioritized for:

  • Active committee members.
  • Members who previously applied for, but did not receive, a scholarship.
  • Members attending the conference for the first time.

Additionally, at least one scholarship will be awarded to a member from each of MAACM’s six recognized geographic jurisdictions.


How to Apply:

Complete the application and submit it via email to presidentelect@maacm.org with the subject line “MAACM Annual Conference Scholarship”. Applications must be submitted by August 31.


Notification:

The President-Elect will notify scholarship recipients by email following Board approval. If you’ve already paid the conference registration fee and are awarded a scholarship, MAACM will issue a full refund upon your acceptance of the award.

ICM Fellows Scholarship

MAACM offers an annual $2,000 scholarship to support active members enrolled in the ICM Fellows Program. The scholarship is applied toward tuition costs for Phase 2 (Coursework/Residency Phase), Phase 3 (Court Project Phase), or Phase 4 (Presentation Phase) of the program.

 

Eligibility:

  • Must be an active MAACM member for the past two years.
  • Must be accepted into the ICM Fellows Program at the time of application.
  • Cannot be awarded retroactively for members who have completed the program.

Selection Process:

Applications are reviewed by the MAACM Membership Committee, with recommendations submitted to the Executive/Advisory Boards.


How to Apply:

Submit a completed application form and cover letter detailing your work experience and academic achievements to via email to presidentelect@maacm.orgwith the subject line “MAACM ICM Fellows Program Scholarship”. Applications must be submitted by June 30.


Notification:

Recipients are notified by July 31 of the award year, and MAACM will send the $2,000 payment directly to ICM on the recipient's behalf.

Annual Conference Presentation:
Upon completing Phase 3, recipients will present their court project at MAACM’s next Annual Conference.
