Dear MAACM Members,
I write to you with pride and humility as MAACM's 32nd President. I would be remiss not to acknowledge some incredible colleagues who guided me along this journey. Nearly a decade ago, I interviewed for my first role in court administration, unaware that my interviewers—Roberta Webb (2003), Vicky Bartholomew (2014), and Tricia Norwood-Foden (2023)—were all past or future MAACM presidents. These three exceptional individuals from my home county of Chester County, Pennsylvania, have left indelible marks on MAACM, and I am deeply honored to join their ranks. To Roberta, Vicky, and Tricia—thank you for your unwavering encouragement and support.
Looking ahead, our theme for 2025 is both broad and inclusive, meant to address the many facets of court administration and the challenges we face. The theme is: "To Form a More Perfect (Judicial) Union: Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something YOU!" This theme will guide our discussions at the two MAACM conferences in 2025: the Mid-Year Conference on May 16th in Malvern, Pennsylvania, and the Annual Conference from September 28th to October 1st in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
